Ghazal 58
غزل شمارهٔ ۵۸
9 couplets
سرِ ارادتِ ما و آستانِ حضرت دوست
که هر چه بر سرِ ما میرود ارادتِ اوست
نظیرِ دوست ندیدم، اگر چه از مَه و مِهر
نهادم آینهها در مقابلِ رخِ دوست
صبا ز حالِ دلِ تنگِ ما چه شرح دهد؟
که چون شِکَنجِ ورقهایِ غنچه تو بر توست
نه من سَبوکش این دیرِ رندسوزم و بس
بسا سَرا که در این کارخانه سنگ و سبوست
مگر تو شانه زدی زلفِ عنبرافشان را؟
که بادْ غالیهسا گشت و خاکْ عنبربوست
نثارِ رویِ تو هر برگِ گل که در چمن است
فدای قَدِّ تو هر سروبُن که بر لبِ جوست
زبانِ ناطقه در وصفِ شوق نالان است
چه جای کِلکِ بریدهزبانِ بیهُدهگوست؟
رخِ تو در دلم آمد مراد خواهم یافت
چرا که حالِ نکو در قَفایِ فالِ نکوست
نه این زمان دلِ حافظ در آتشِ هوس است
که داغدار ازل همچو لالهٔ خودروست
(Together are), the head of our desire, and the threshold of the Mighty Friend (God)
For, whatever (of good, or of bad) passeth over our head is His will.
My Friend's equal, I have not seen
although of the (gleaming) moon and of the shining sun, The mirrors opposite to the Friend's face I placed.
Of our straitened heart, giveth the breeze what news, That, like the folding
of the leaves of the rose bud, tightly folded it (the heart) is.
Not alone, am I a wine-drinker (a lover) of this cloister, profligate consuming (the wine tavern, the stage of love)
O many a (great) head in this workshop is (only) the dust of the pitcher! 5.
Verily, Thou combedest Thy tress, ambergris-scattering, Since that the breeze became like civet
and the dust, beperfumed with ambergris.
The sprinkling of Thy face (be),— every rose-leaf that is in the sward
The ransom of Thy lofty form (be), — every cypress that is on the river-bank.
In the description of His Love, (even) the tongue of speech is dumb
What room for the (feeble) reed, split of tongue, folly uttering ?
(Of happy omen), Thy face came into my heart: my desire I shall gain: For, after the happy omen, is the happy state. Not, at this time, is Hafiz's
heart in the fire of search (of love): For, in Eternity without beginning, it was the possessor of the mark (of love), like the self-growing wild tulip (of Shlraz).

sar aradte ma o astan hazarat dust
ke har che bar sar ma mi-ravad aradte ust
nazire dust nadidm, agar che az mah o mehr
nahadm ayene-ha dar maghable rokh dust
saba ze hal del tang ma che sharah dahad?
ke chon shekanje vargh-haye ghonche to bar tost
na man sabuksh in deyr ranadsuzm o bas
basa sara ke dar in karkhane sanag o sabust
magar to shane zadi zolf 'nabrafshan ra?
ke bad ghalie-sa gasht o khak 'nabarbust
nasare ruy to har barge gol ke dar chaman ast
fadai ghad to har sarubon ke bar lab just
zaban natghe dar vasfe showgh nalan ast
che jay kelk baride-zaban bihode-gust?
rokh to dar delam amad morad khaaham yaaft
chera ke hal naku dar ghafaye fale nakust
na in zaman del hafez dar atash havas ast
ke daghdar azal hamcho lale khudrust
