Ghazal 493

اِی پادِشَهِ خوبان، داد از غَمِ تَنْهایی

دِل، بی‌‌تو، به جان آمَد؛ وَقْت است که بازآیی

دائم، گُلِ این بُسْتان، شاداب نمی‌مانَد

دَریاب ضَعیفان را در وَقْتِ تَوانایی!

دیشَب، گِلِهٔ زُلْفَش با باد، هَمی کَرْدَم

گفتا: «غلطی! بُگْذَر زین فِکْرَتِ سودایی!»

صَد بادِ صَبا، این‌جا با سِلْسِلِه می‌رَقْصَنْد

این است حَریف ای دِل تا باد نَپِیمایی

مُشْتاقی و مَهْجوری، دور از تو چُنانم کَرْد

کَز دَسْت بِخواهَد شُد پایابِ شَکیبایی

یا رب به‌ که شایَد گُفْت این نُکْتِه که در عالَم

رُخْساره به کَس نَنْمود آن شاهِدِ هَرجایی؟

ساقی! چَمَنِ گُل را بی‌‌رویِ تو، رَنْگی نیست

شِمْشاد، خُرامان کُن تا باغ بیارایی

اِی دَرْدِ تواَم دَرْمان در بَسْتَرِ ناکامی

وِی یادِ تواَم مونِس در گوشِهٔ تَنهایی

دَر دایِرِهٔ قِسْمَت، ما، نُقْطِهٔ تَسْلیمیم

لُطْف، آن‌چه تو اَنْدیشی؛ حُکْم، آن‌چه تو فَرمایی

فِکْرِ خود و رایِ خود در عالَم رِنْدی نیست

کُفْر است در این مَذْهَب، خودبینی و خودرایی

زین دایِرِهٔ مینا، خونین‌جِگَرَم، مِی دِه!

تا حَل کنم این مُشْکِل دَر ساغَرِ مینایی

حافِظ! شَبِ هِجْران شُد، بویِ خوشِ وَصْل آمَد

شادیت، مُبارَک باد ای عاشِقِ شِیدایی!

Thanks a thousand, that, again, to my desire, I beheld thee, In truth and purity,

concordant with my heart, become. The Path of calamity, tread the travellers of hakikat!

Of the descent and of the ascent, reflecteth not the companion of the Path (tarikat). Better than search for the watcher, is grief for the hidden Friend (God)

For, not the confidant of mystery is the heart of the Lord of malice.

For this thanks that, by the Friend, the assembly is illuminated

If an act of tyranny reach thee, like the candle, consume and be content. 5.

With a half kiss purchase a prayer from one of heart (one of vision

a lover of God), That, from the enemy's malice, thee, soul and body may preserve.

The sadness, that, on my face hath come from grief for thee, O Asaf

! 'tis possible that the (long) explanation, I may give in a long year.

Love's murmur, into Hijaz and 'Irak, casteth The melody

of the strain of the ghazals of Hafiz of Shiraz.

ey padeshahe khuban, dad az gham tanhaii

del, bi-to, be jan amad; vaght ast ke bazaii

da'em, gol in bostan, shadab nemi-manad

daryab za'ifan ra dar vaght tauanaii!

dishab, gele-ye zolfash ba bad, hami kardam

gofta: ghalti! bogzar zin fekrate sudaii!

sad bad saba, in-ja ba selselee mi-raghsand

in ast harif ey del ta bad napeimaii

moshtaghi o mahjuri, dowr az to chonanm kard

kaz dast bekhuahad shod paiabe shakibaii

ya rab be ke shayad goft in nokte ke dar 'alam

rokhsare be kas nanmud an shahed harjaii?

saghi! chaman gol ra bi-ruy to, rangi nist

shamshad, kharaman kon ta bagh biaraii

ey dard tavam darman dar bastare nakami

vei yad tavam munes dar gushe tanhaii

dar dayere-ye ghesmat, ma, noghte-ye taslimim

lotf, an-che to andishi; hokm, an-che to farmaii

fekr khod o raye khod dar 'alam rendi nist

kofr ast dar in mazhab, khudbini o khudraii

zin dayere-ye mina, khunin-jegaram, mi dee!

ta hal konam in moshkel dar saghar minaii

hafez! shab hejran shod, buy khosh vasl amad

shadit, mobarak bad ey 'ashegh sheidaii!
