Ghazal 487
غزل شمارهٔ ۴۸۷
10 couplets
ای بیخبر بکوش که صاحبخبر شوی
تا راهرو نباشی کی راهبر شوی؟
در مکتب حقایق پیش ادیب عشق
هان ای پسر بکوش که روزی پدر شوی
دست از مسِ وجود چو مردان ره بشوی
تا کیمیای عشق بیابی و زر شوی
خواب و خورت ز مرتبهٔ خویش دور کرد
آن گه رسی به خویش که بی خواب و خور شوی
گر نور عشق حق به دل و جانت اوفتد
بالله کز آفتاب فلک خوبتر شوی
یک دم غریق بحر خدا شو گمان مبر
کز آب هفت بحر به یک موی تر شوی
از پای تا سرت همه نور خدا شود
در راه ذوالجلال چو بی پا و سر شوی
وجه خدا اگر شودت منظر نظر
زین پس شکی نماند که صاحبنظر شوی
بنیاد هستی تو چو زیر و زبر شود
در دل مدار هیچ که زیر و زبر شوی
گر در سرت هوای وصال است حافظا
باید که خاک درگه اهل هنر شوی
The bird of (the soul of) my heart is a holy bird; the ninth
heaven, its dwelling; Of the cage of the body, vexed; of the world, sated.
From the head of this dust-heap (the world), the bird of the soul how flieth
? At the door of that threshold, its nest, the (mighty) falcon (worldly attachments) maketh.
When the bird of the heart fleeth, its abode is the (lofty) Sidrah tree
The resting-place of our falcon (soul), know (to be) the pinnacle of the ninth heaven (God's throne).
On the head of all the world, falleth fortune's shadow, If, over
the world, its wings and feathers, our bird (the soul) expandeth. 5.
Not in both worlds, its dwelling save above the sphere (God's throne)
; From the (material) mine is the body; from no-place, its soul.
The splendour-place of our bird (the soul) is the highest world
Its watering and feeding place, the rose-bed of the garden of the (true) Beloved (God).

ey bi-khabar bakush ke saheb-khabar shui
ta rahru nabashi key rahabr shui?
dar makatab haghaigh pish adib 'eshgh
han ey pasar bakush ke ruzi padar shui
dast az mase vajud cho mardan rah bashui
ta kimiai 'eshgh biabi o zar shui
khuab o khurt ze maratab-ye khish dowr kard
an ge rasi be khish ke bi khuab o khor shui
gar nur 'eshgh hagh be del o jant aufatd
balle kaz aftab falak khub-tar shui
yek dam gharigh bahar khoda sho gaman mabar
kaz ab hafat bahar be yek muy tar shui
az pay ta sarat hame nur khoda shavad
dar rah zualajlal cho bi pa o sar shui
vaje khoda agar shudt manazar nazar
zin pas shaki namand ke saheb-nazar shui
bonyad hasti to cho zir o zabar shavad
dar del madar hich ke zir o zabar shui
gar dar sarat havaye vesal ast hafeza
bayad ke khak darge ahl honar shui
