Ghazal 47

به کویِ میکده هر سالِکی که رَه دانست

دری دگر زدن اندیشهٔ تَبَه دانست

زمانه افسر رندی نداد جز به کسی

که سرفرازیِ عالَم در این کُلَه دانست

بر آستانهٔ میخانه هر که یافت رَهی

ز فیضِ جامِ مِی اَسرار خانقَه دانست

هر آن که رازِ دو عالم ز خطِ ساغَر خواند

رُموزِ جامِ جم از نقشِ خاکِ ره دانست

ورایِ طاعتِ دیوانگان ز ما مَطَلَب

که شیخِ مذهبِ ما عاقلی گُنَه دانست

دلم ز نرگسِ ساقی اَمان نخواست به جان

چرا که شیوهٔ آن تُرکِ دل سیه دانست

ز جورِ کوکبِ طالع ،سَحَرگَهان چشمم

چنان گریست که ناهید دید و مَه دانست

حدیثِ حافظ و ساغر که می‌زند پنهان

چه جایِ محتسب و شِحنه، پادشَه دانست

بلندمرتبه شاهی که نُه رِواقِ سِپِهر

نمونه‌ای ز خَمِ طاقِ بارگَه دانست

The day of the 'id it is; and, in that device, I am How the result

of thirty days' fast (the Ramazan) I may give (up); and instead the cup may take.

Wine, I drink; on my shoulder is the prayer-mat of piety

Alas! if acquainted with this imposture of mine, the people become.

The people speak saying: — " Hafiz! the speech of the Pir, hear: " To-day,

better for me — wine, years endured (old), than a hundred Pirs. i. The explanations are: —

bar astan-ye meykhane har ke yaaft rahi

har an ke raz do 'alam ze khat saghar khuand

romuze jam jam az naghsh khak rah danest

varaye ta'te diuangan ze ma matalab

ke sheykh mazhbe ma 'aghli gonae danest

delam ze narges saghi aman nakhuast be jan

chera ke shive an tork del siyah danest

ze jowr kukbe tal' ,sahargahan cheshmam

chenan garist ke nahid did o mah danest

hadis hafez o saghar ke mi-zanad penhan

che jay mahatasab o shehne, padshae danest

balanadamaratbe shahi ke na reuaghe sepehr

namune-ey ze khame taghe bargae danest
