Ghazal 425

دامن‌کشان همی شد در شرب زرکشیده

صد ماهرو ز رشکش جَیب قصب دریده

از تاب آتش مِی، بر گِرد عارضش خوی

چون قطره‌های شبنم بر برگ گل چکیده

لفظی فصیح، شیرین، قدی بلند، چابک

رویی لطیف، زیبا، چشمی خوش، کشیده

یاقوت جان‌فزایش از آب لطف زاده

شمشاد خوش‌خرامش در ناز پروریده

آن لعل دلکشش بین، وآن خندهٔ دل‌آشوب

وآن رفتن خوشش بین، وآن گام آرمیده

آن آهوی سیه‌چشم از دام ما برون شد

یاران چه چاره سازم با این دل رمیده؟

زنهار تا توانی اهل نظر میآزار

دنیا وفا ندارد ای نور هر دو دیده

تا کی کِشم عتیبت؟ از چشم دل‌فریبت

روزی کرشمه‌ای کن، ای یار برگزیده!

گر خاطر شریفت رنجیده شد ز حافظ

بازآ که توبه کردیم از گفته و شنیده

بس شکر بازگویم در بندگیِ خواجه

گر اوفتد به دستم آن میوهٔ رسیده

O fragrant morning breeze (the Angel of Death)! The Beloved's rest-place

is where ? The dwelling of that Moon, Lover-slayer, Sorcerer, is where ?

Dark is the night (the world)

and in front, the path of the Valley of Aiman (the desert of the Path): The fire (of God's splendour from the olive bush) of Tor where ?

The time and the place of promise of beholding is where ? Whoever came to this (effacing) world hath the mark of ruin (the effacement by

death, of this borrowed existence): In the tavern (the world), ask ye saying: — " The sensible one — • — is where ?

" One of glad tidings is he who knoweth the sign: Many are the subtleties. The confidant of mysteries

is where ? 5. Every hair-tip of mine hath a thousand bits of work with Thee: We, are where?

And, the reproacher, void of (knowledge

of) work,— — is where ?

daman-kashan hami shod dar shorb zarakshide

sad mahru ze rashakash jaib ghasab daride

az tab atash mi, bar gerd 'arazsh khui

chon ghatre-hai shabanam bar barag gol chakide

lafzi fasih, shirin, ghadi boland, chabk

ruii latif, ziba, chashmi khosh, kashide

yaaghut jan-fazaish az ab lotf zade

shamshad khosh-kharamsh dar naz paruride

an la'l dalakashash bin, vaan khande del-ashub

vaan rafatan khushsh bin, vaan gam armide

an ahui siyah-cheshm az dam ma birun shod

yaran che chare sazm ba in del ramide?

zanhar ta tuani ahl nazar miazar

donya vafa nadarad ey nur har do dide

ta key kesham 'tibt? az cheshm del-faribt

ruzi kereshme-ey kon, ey yar baragzide!

gar khater sharift ranjide shod ze hafez

baza ke tobe kardim az gafte o shanide

bas shokr bazguim dar bandegi khaje

gar aufatd be dasatam an miu-ye raside
