Ghazal 424
غزل شمارهٔ ۴۲۴
5 couplets
از من جدا مشو که توام نور دیدهای
آرام جان و مونس قلب رمیدهای
از دامن تو دست ندارند عاشقان
پیراهن صبوری ایشان دریدهای
از چشم بخت خویش، مبادت گزند از آنک
در دلبری، به غایتِ خوبی رسیدهای
منعم مکن ز عشق وی ای مفتی زمان
معذور دارمت که تو او را ندیدهای
آن سرزنش که کرد تو را دوست حافظا
بیش از گلیم خویش مگر پا کشیدهای
O them from shame of whose (ruddy) cheek, the (red) rose is immersed in sweat
(And) before whose cornelian (lip), full of the sweat (of envy} is the cup of (ruddy) wine!
Tis — hail on the tulip; or rose-water on the rose; Or water on the fire; or on thy face, sweat. That bow
eye-brow went from the eye; and the heart Departed from its foot (foundation); and (through exceeding attachment to the Beloved) made lost the trace.
To-night, back from His tress, my hand I will not keep: O mu azzin! go; shout; say: — " Come to prayer." 5. A moment, in the minstrel's hand, place the
harp; Say: — " Its cord, scratch; and after it (the scratched cord), exult." On the fire, aloe-wood put; the stove enkindle; Grief have not for the severity of December's cold.
After this, if to thee, the sky display contempt, Speak out in the presence of the Dara of Rai (Rhages), The Khusrau, horizons (climes) -giving, — that one, by whose (exceeding) libera- lity, Became closed (even) the record of (generous) Hatim
and his (noble) fame, — i.
When perspiration cometh on the Beloved's face, thou mayst say
— 'Tis hail on " the tulip *
az man jada masho ke tavam nur dide-ey
aram jan o muns ghalab ramide-ey
az daman to dast nadarand 'asheghan
pirahn saburi aishan daride-ey
az cheshm bakht khish, mabadt gazanad az ank
dar delbari, be ghaite khubi raside-ey
man'm makon ze 'eshgh vai ey mafti zaman
m'zur daramt ke to u ra nadide-ey
an sarazanash ke kard to ra dust hafeza
bish az galim khish magar pa kashide-ey
