Ghazal 256

نصیحتی کُنَمَت بشنو و بهانه مَگیر

هر آنچه ناصِحِ مُشْفِق بگویَدَت بپذیر

ز وصلِ رویِ جوانان تَمَتُّعی بردار

که در کمینگهِ عمر است مَکرِ عالَمِ پیر

نَعیم هر دو جهان پیش عاشقان بجوی

که این متاعِ قلیل است و آن عَطایِ کثیر

معاشری خوش و رودی بساز می‌خواهم

که دردِ خویش بگویم به نالهٔ بَم و زیر

بر آن سَرَم که نَنوشَم مِی و گُنَه نکنم

اگر موافقِ تدبیرِ من شَوَد تقدیر

چو قسمتِ ازلی بی‌حضورِ ما کردند

گر اندکی نه به وِفقِ رضاست خرده مگیر

چو لاله در قَدَحم ریز ساقیا مِی و مُشک

که نقشِ خالِ نگارم نمی‌رود ز ضمیر

بیار ساغرِ دُرِّ خوشاب ای ساقی

حسود گو کَرَمِ آصفی ببین و بمیر

به عزمِ توبه نهادم قدح ز کف صد بار

ولی کرشمهٔ ساقی نمی‌کُنَد تقصیر

مِی دوساله و محبوبِ چارده ساله

همین بس است مرا صُحبتِ صَغیر و کَبیر

دل رمیدهٔ ما را که پیش می‌گیرد؟

خبر دهید به مجنونِ خسته از زنجیر

حدیثِ توبه در این بزمگه مگو حافظ

که ساقیان کمان ابرویَت زَنَند به تیر

A piece of advice, I make thee; listen; make no excuse:— "Whatever the kind admonisher saith to thee, accept." With

those of youthful face, the enjoyment of union take up: For, in ambush of life, is the deceit of the old world.

Before lovers (of God), the affluence of both worlds (is) as a barley-corn

For, that (world) is of little merchandise and this (world) of little value.

A pleasant companion, I desire

and some music with an instrument That, to the wail of bass and of treble, I may utter my pain. 5.

On that, I am intent that I drink no wine, and commit no

sin, If fate be concordant with my desire. (If not, I am helpless).

is enough, the society of the small (the two years) and of the great (the fourteen years).

na'im har do jahan pish 'asheghan bajui

ke in mata'e ghalil ast o an 'ataye kasir

m'ashri khosh o rudi besaz mi-khaaham

ke dard khish baguim be nale bam o zir

bar an saram ke nanusham mi o gonae nakanam

agar muafghe tadbire man shavad taghdir

cho ghesmat azli bi-hozur ma karadanad

gar anadki na be vefghe razast kharde magir

cho lale dar ghadahm riz saghiya mi o moshk

ke naghsh khal nagarm nemi-ravad ze zamir

biyar saghar dar khushab ey saghi

hasud gu karam asfi bebin o bamir

be 'zame tobe nahadm ghadah ze kaf sad bar

vali kereshme saghi nemi-konad taghsir

mi dusale o mahbube charde sale

hamin bas ast mara sohbat saghir o kabir

del ramid-ye ma ra ke pish mi-girad?

khabar dahid be majnune khaste az zanjir

hadis tobe dar in bazamge magu hafez

ke saghian kaman abruyat zanand be tir
