Ghazal 250

روی بِنْمای و وجودِ خودم از یاد بِبَر

خَرمنِ سوختگان را همه گو باد بِبَر

ما چو دادیم دل و دیده به طوفانِ بلا

گو «بیا سیلِ غم و خانه ز بنیاد بِبَر»

زلفِ چون عَنبَرِ خامَش که ببوید؟ هیهات

ای دلِ خام‌طمع! این سخن از یاد بِبَر

سینه گو «شعلهٔ آتشکدهٔ فارس بِکُش»

دیده گو «آبِ رخِ دجلهٔ بغداد بِبَر»

دولتِ پیرِ مُغان باد که باقی سهل است

دیگری گو «برو و نامِ من از یاد بِبَر»

سعیِ نابرده در این راه به جایی نرسی

مزد اگر می‌طلبی، طاعتِ استاد بِبَر

روزِ مرگم نفسی وعدهٔ دیدار بده

وآن گَهَم تا به لَحَد فارغ و آزاد بِبَر

دوش می‌گفت «به مژگانِ درازت بِکُشم»

یا رب از خاطرش اندیشهٔ بیداد بِبَر

حافظ اندیشه کن از نازکیِ خاطرِ یار

برو از دَرگَهَش این ناله و فریاد بِبَر

Of His black tress (the world), complaint I have to such a degree that ask not

For, on account of it, without means and resource, I am become in such a way that ask not.

In the hope of its fidelity, let none abandon heart and soul (the being a lover)

For, of this done, I am penitent to such a degree—— that ask not.

For (the sake of) one draught (of wine) wherein is the injury

of none. From the ignorant man, such torment 1 suffer—— that ask not.

Zahid! from us in peace depart! for this ruby wine Taketh from ths hand, heart

and faith in that way that ask not. 5. Corner (of retirement) -taking and safety were my desire.

But, That maddening narcissus practiseth a way that ask not. In this Path, the talk is that life melteth: Every one — the contention of this one (is) "that look not

" of that one, "that ask not."

zolf chon 'anbare khamash ke babuid? hihat

ey del kham-tama'! in sokhan az yad bebar

sine gu sh'l-ye atashakad-ye fars bekesh

dide gu ab rokh dajal-ye baghdad bebar

dolat pir moghan bad ke baghi shal ast

digri gu boro o nam man az yad bebar

s'ye nabarde dar in rah be jaii narsi

mazad agar mi-talbi, ta'te astad bebar

ruz maragam nafsi va'd-ye didar bedeh

vaan gaham ta be lahad fargh o azad bebar

dush mi-goft be mazhgane darazt bekoshm

ya rab az khatarsh andish-ye bidad bebar

hafez andishe kon az nazakye khater yar

boro az dargahash in nale o faryad bebar
