غزل شمارهٔ ۲۴۵

الا ای طوطیِ گویایِ اسرار!
مبادا خالیَت شَکَّر ز مِنقار
سَرَت سبز و دلت خوش باد، جاوید
که خوش نقشی نمودی از خطِ یار
سخن سربسته گفتی با حریفان
خدا را زین معما پرده بردار
به رویِ ما زن از ساغر گلابی
که خوابآلودهایم، ای بختِ بیدار!
چه رَه بود این که زد در پرده مطرب؟
که میرقصند با هم مست و هشیار
از آن افیون که ساقی در مِی افکند
حریفان را نه سَر مانَد، نه دَستار
سِکَندَر را نمیبخشند آبی
به زور و زر مُیَسَّر نیست این کار
بیا و حالِ اهلِ درد بشنو
به لفظِ اندک و معنیِ بسیار
بُتِ چینی عدویِ دین و دلهاست
خداوندا دل و دینم نگه دار
به مستوران مگو اسرارِ مستی
حدیثِ جان مگو با نقشِ دیوار
به یُمنِ دولتِ منصور شاهی
عَلَم شد حافظ اندر نظمِ اشعار
خداوندی به جایِ بندگان کرد
خداوندا ز آفاتش نگه دار
Ho! O parrot (murshid)! thou that art the utterer of the mysteries
(of God) Void of sugar (of the mysteries of God), thy beak (mouth), be not.
Ever be thy head fresh, and thy heart happy
For of the line (of mysteries) of the (true) Beloved, a happy picture, thou displayedest.
With the rivals (the Arifs), thou utteredest speech head-closed (veiled), For God's sake, uplift the veil of the enigma (of the head-closed speech), (O Saki!) On our faces, a cup (of divine truths) of rose-water dash
For, we are sleep-stained, and wakeful of fortune.
In (musical) note, what path is this that the minstrel struck, That, together, the insensible and the sensible dance! From this opium (mystery),
that the Saki (the murshid) casteth into wine To the rivals (the Arifs), remaineth neither head nor turban (so intoxicated on hearing it are they).
To (the great) Sikandar, they give not that water- (of-life)
Attainable neither by force nor by gold (without God's grace), is this matter.
Though reason is the cash of created (and of existing) beings, Before love, the alchemist, what weigheth it ? Come; and hear the state of the people of pain
In word, little; in meaning, much. 10.
The enemy of our religion, became the idol of Chin: O Lord! my heart and faith,
keep. In some copies, the second line is: — For we are sleep-stained O vigilant fortune (murshid)!
O vigilant fortune! out of the cup of thy heart, dash upon our face the explanation of truths. — For, through desire, I am sleep-stained with carelessness
— possibly, by thy aid, I may escape from this sleep of carelessness and may advance the foot.
For repelling the langour of sleep, they dash,
on the sleeper's face, rose-water mixed with water.
To those veiled (the illusory beloved ones), utter not the mysteries of intoxica- tion (truths): " From the (lifeless, senseless) wall-picture, ask not
the tale of life." Towards us slaves, he (our praised one) did the work of a Lord: O Lord! him preserve from calamity.
In the fortune of the standard of Mansur Shah, In the ranks of verse, Hafiz the standard became. II. To those, the centres of outward worshipping, whose eyes, inwardly seeing, have not opened
and, like veils of darkness, have folded up the veils of the elements of their own existence, utter not the mysteries of divine knowledge, and truths of endless wanderings.
For it is far from their comprehension; still, in the placenta of the mother of
the elements, are they seated; and, not having issued therefrom, are unworthy of understanding it.
ala ey tutye guia-ye asrar!
mabada khalyat shokr ze menghar
sarat sabaz o dalat khosh bad, jauid
ke khosh naghshi namudi az khat yar
sokhan sarabaste gafti ba harifan
khoda ra zin m'ma parde bardar
be ruy ma zan az saghar galabi
ke khuab-alude-aim, ey bakht bidar!
che rah bud in ke zad dar parde motreb?
ke mi-raghasanad ba ham mast o hashiar
az an afiun ke saghi dar mi afakand
harifan ra na sar manad, na dastar
sekandar ra nemi-bakhashanad abi
be zur o zar moyassar nist in kar
biya o hal ahl dard beshno
be lafze anadk o ma'ni besyar
bote chini 'duye din o del-hast
khadaunda del o dinm negah dar
be mastur-an magu asrar masti
hadis jan magu ba naghsh diuar
be yomne dolat mansur shahi
'elm shod hafez andar nazme ash'ar
khadaundi be jay banadgan kard
