Ghazal 240

ابرِ آذاری برآمد بادِ نوروزی وزید

وَجهِ مِی می‌خواهم و مُطرب، که می‌گوید رسید؟

شاهدان در جلوه و من شرمسارِ کیسه‌ام

بارِ عشق و مُفلسی صَعب است، می‌باید کشید

قَحطِ جُود است آبروی خود نمی‌باید فروخت

باده و گُل از بهایِ خرقه می‌باید خرید

گوییا خواهد گشود از دولتم کاری که دوش

من همی‌کردم دعا و صبحِ صادق می‌دمید

با لبی و صد هزاران خنده آمد گل به باغ

از کریمی گوییا در گوشه‌ای بویی شنید

دامنی گر چاک شد در عالمِ رندی چه باک

جامه‌ای در نیکنامی نیز می‌باید درید

این لطایف کز لبِ لَعلِ تو من گفتم، که گفت؟

وین تَطاول کز سرِ زلفِ تو من دیدم، که دید؟

عدلِ سلطان گر نپرسد حالِ مظلومانِ عشق

گوشه‌گیران را ز آسایش طمع باید بُرید

تیرِ عاشق‌کُش ندانم بر دلِ حافظ که زد

این قَدَر دانم که از شعرِ تَرَش خون می‌چکید

By the pomp of glory and of dignity of Shah Shuja' I swear,

That, for the sake of wealth and of rank, strife is mine with none.

On lovers, cast a glance in thanks for this favour, That of thee, the obeyed king, an

obedient slaVe I am.. Thirsty for the bounty of the draught of the cup, we are.

But, Boldness, we display not (of ourselves we take not the cup); thee (through our vexing) pain of head, we give not. My house (secret)

wine, enough; the magian wine, bring not: O companion! arrived hath the companion of the cup: to repentance (of wine) farewell! 5.

For God's sake; with wine, cleansing and cleansing of the khirka, make ye

For, from this way (of khirka-wearing), the perfume of good, I perceive not.

To the harp's twang, behold how dancing goeth, — That one, who for the hearing of sama', permission gave not. O God

az karimi guiia dar gushe-ey buii shenid

damni gar chak shod dar 'alam rendi che bak

jame-ey dar niknami niz mi-bayad darid

in lataif kaz lab la'l to man goftam, ke goft?

vin tataul kaz sar zolf to man didam, ke did?

'dale soltan gar naparasad hal mazlumane 'eshgh

gushe-giran ra ze asaish tama' bayad borid

tire 'ashegh-kesh nadanm bar del hafez ke zad
