Ghazal 187
غزل شمارهٔ ۱۸۷
7 couplets
دلا بسوز که سوزِ تو کارها بِکُنَد
نیازِ نیمْشبی دفعِ صد بلا بِکُنَد
عِتابِ یارِ پریچهره عاشقانه بکَش
که یک کرشمه تلافیِّ صد جفا بکُند
ز مُلک تا ملکوتش حجاب بردارند
هر آن که خدمتِ جامِ جهاننما بکُند
طبیبِ عشق مسیحادَم است و مُشفِق، لیک
چو دَرد در تو نبیند که را دوا بکُند؟
تو با خدایِ خود انداز کار و دل خوش دار
که رحم اگر نکند مُدَّعی، خدا بکُند
ز بختِ خفته ملولم، بُوَد که بیداری
به وقتِ فاتحهٔ صبح، یک دعا بکُند؟
بسوخت حافظ و بویی به زلفِ یار نَبُرد
مگر دِلالتِ این دولتش صبا بکُند
Tis the night of power
and closed is the book of separation: On that night, is safety to the rising of separation. O heart! in being a lover, be firm of foot: For, in this path, is no work void of reward.
Of profligacy, I will not repent me, Although, through stone and separation, thou causest torment to reach me. Went my heart from the hand
yet the beloved's face, I saw not: Of this tyranny, — complaint! of this reproof, — lamentations! 5.
O luminous morning of the heart! come forth: For dark indeed, I see the night of separation. Hafiz! thou desirest fidelity? —
Be endurer of the tyranny (and of the grace of the Beloved): Then in traffic, is the verification of profit and of loss.

niaz nim-shabi daf'e sad bala bekonad
'etab yar pari-chehre 'ashghane bekesh
ke yek kereshme talafayye sad jafa bekonad
ze molk ta malkutsh hajab bardarand
har an ke khedmat jam jahan-nama bekonad
tabibe 'eshgh masiha-dam ast o moshfegh, lik
cho dard dar to nabind ke ra dua bekonad?
to ba khadaye khod andaz kar o del khosh dar
ke raham agar nakanad modda'i-, khoda bekonad
ze bakht khafte malulm, bud ke bidari
be vaght fatah-ye sobh, yek do'a bekonad?
besukht hafez o buii be zolf yar nabord
magar delalte in dulatsh saba bekonad
