Ghazal 186

گر مِی‌فروش حاجتِ رندان روا کند

ایزد گنه ببخشد و دفعِ بلا کند

ساقی به جامِ عدل بده باده تا گدا

غیرت نیاوَرَد، که جهان پُر‌بلا کند

حقّا کز این غَمان برسد مژدهٔ امان

گر سالِکی به عهدِ امانت وفا کند

گر رنج پیش‌آید و گر راحت ای حکیم

نسبت مَکُن به غیر که این‌ها خدا کند

در کارخانه‌ای که رَهِ عقل و فضل نیست

فهمِ ضعیفْ رایْ فضولی چرا کند؟

مطرب بساز پرده که کس بی‌اجل نمرد

وان کو نه این ترانه سُراید خطا کند

ما را که دردِ عشق و بلای خُمار کُشت

یا وصلِ دوست یا میِ صافی دوا کند

جان رفت در سرِ می و حافظ به عشق سوخت

عیسی‌دَمی کجاست که احیایِ ما کند؟

O Saki! 'tis the morn (of youth); full of wine (of divine knowledge), a goblet - make

The sky's revolution delayeth not; haste make.

Before that ruined this vanishing world becometh, With the

cup of ruddy wine (true love), us, ruined (intoxicated) make.

From the east, the cup (the heart of 'Arifs), — the sun of wine (divine knowledge) made appear

If (true) pleasure thou seek, abandoning of the sleep (of carelessness) make.

One day, when out of our clay, pitchers the sky maketh, Take care, the

cup (skull-pan) of our head full of wine (true love for God), make. 5.

Not the man of austerity, nor of penitence, nor of foolish talk

are we, To us, with a cup of pure wine (truth), address make.

Hafiz! wine-worshipping (love-playing; divine knowledge-gathering) is the good work

Arise; to the good work, the face of resolution turn.

I. O Murshid! 'tis the morning of youth, to us words of divine knowledge impart

and us full of truths make.

aizd gane babakhashad o daf'e bala konad

saghi be jam 'dal bedeh bade ta geda

ghirt niavarad, ke jahan por-bala konad

haghgha kaz in ghaman barasad mozhde aman

gar saleki be ahd amant vafa konad

gar ranaj pish-ayad o gar raht ey hakim

nesbat makon be gheyr ke in-ha khoda konad

dar karkhane-ey ke rah aghl o fazal nist

fahme z'if ray fazuli chera konad?

motreb besaz parde ke kas bi-ajl namarad

vaan ku na in tarane soraid khata konad

ma ra ke dard 'eshgh o balai khomar kosht

ya vasl dust ya mi safi dua konad

jan raft dar sar mi o hafez be 'eshgh sukht

'isi-dami kojast ke ahiaye ma konad?
