Ghazal 111

عکسِ رویِ تو چو در آینهٔ جام افتاد

عارف از خندهٔ مِی در طمعِ خام افتاد

حُسن رویِ تو به یک جلوه که در آینه کرد

این همه نقش در آیینهٔ اوهام افتاد

این همه عکسِ می و نقشِ نگارین که نمود

یک فروغِ رخِ ساقی‌ست که در جام افتاد

غیرتِ عشق زبانِ همه خاصان بِبُرید

کز کجا سِرِّ غمش در دهنِ عام افتاد؟

من ز مسجد به خرابات نه خود افتادم

اینم از عهدِ ازل حاصلِ فرجام افتاد

چه کند کز پی دوران نرود چون پرگار؟

هر که در دایرهٔ گردشِ ایام افتاد

در خَمِ زلفِ تو آویخت دل از چاهِ زَنَخ

آه، کز چاه برون آمد و در دام افتاد

آن شد ای خواجه که در صومعه بازم بینی

کار ما با رخِ ساقیّ و لبِ جام افتاد

زیرِ شمشیرِ غمش رقص‌کُنان باید رفت

کـ‌آن که شد کشتهٔ او نیک سرانجام افتاد

هر دَمَش با منِ دل‌سوخته لطفی دگر است

این گدا بین که چه شایستهٔ انعام افتاد

صوفیان جمله حریفند و نظرباز ولی

زین میان حافظِ دل‌سوخته بدنام افتاد

For the sake of love's existence are man and Pari, A little (pure) desire,

show, so that a great happiness (in attaining to true love) thou mayst achieve.

Since, prepared of vision, thou art not, — union, seek not, For, no good

doeth the (world-viewing) cup of Jamshid at the time of being with- out vision.

The wine of the morning draught, and the sweet sleep of dawn, how long? (For pardon), strive — by the supplication of mid-night

and, with the weeping of the morning.

(O beloved!) come; and, from us, with the capital of thy

beauty, sovereignty purchase; Careless of this matter, be not, lest sorrow thou suffer.

ghirte 'eshgh zaban hame khasan beborid

kaz koja sar ghamash dar dahne 'am oftad?

man ze masjed be kharabat na khod aftadm

ainm az ahd azal hasle farjam oftad

che konad kaz pi duran naravad chon pargar?

har ke dar dair-ye garadshe ayyam oftad

dar khame zolf to auikht del az chah zanakh

ah, kaz chah birun amad o dar dam oftad

an shod ey khaje ke dar some'e bazm bini

kar ma ba rokh saghi o lab jam oftad

zir shamshire ghamash raghas-konan bayad raft

k-an ke shod kashat-ye u nik saranjam oftad

har damash ba man del-sukhte latfi degar ast

in geda bin ke che shaisat-ye an'am oftad

sufian jamle harifand o nazarbaz vali

zin miyan hafez del-sukhte badnam oftad
