Ghazal 106

تَنَت به نازِ طبیبان نیازمند مباد

وجود نازکت آزردهٔ گزند مباد

سلامتِ همه آفاق در سلامتِ توست

به هیچ عارضه شخصِ تو دردمند مباد

جمالِ صورت و معنی ز امنِ صحتِ توست

که ظاهرت دُژَم و باطنت نَژَند مباد

در این چمن چو درآید خزان به یغمایی

رهش به سروِ سهی قامتِ بلند مباد

در آن بساط که حُسن تو جلوه آغازد

مجالِ طعنهٔ بدبین و بدپسند مباد

هر آن که رویِ چو ماهت به چشمِ بد بیند

بر آتشِ تو به جز جانِ او سپند مباد

شفا ز گفتهٔ شِکَّرفِشانِ حافظ جوی

که حاجتت به عِلاجِ گلاب و قند مباد

O Thou that hast ravished my heart with this Thy form and grace! (Thine) solicitude, for none

to Thee, inclined (in love) a whole world!

O soul(O Beloved, in separation from Thee)! from my heart, sometimes I heave the sigh

and, sometimes draw out the arrow: Before Thee (that hast no solicitude for me), how shall I say what things through my heart I endure ?

To the watchers, how shall I utter the description of Thy ruby

lip! To the ignorant, good is not the coloured (vivid) meaning.

When, every day Thy beauty is greater than (Thy beauty of) the other (preced- ing

day, To Thy glorious face, one cannot compare (even) the (effulgent) moon. 5.

My heart, Thou hast ravished

my soul, I give Thee. Grief, why sendest thou? Since wholly grieved we are, of the (tax-) collector what need ?

Hafiz when in love's fold, thou plantedest thy foot, On His (the true Beloved's) skirt, fix thy hand

and of all (attachments to the world, thy hand) let go.

dar an basat ke hosn to jelve aghazd

majale t'n-ye badbin o badapasanad mabad

har an ke ruy cho maht be cheshm bad bind

bar atash to be joz jan u sapanad mabad

shafa ze gafat-ye shekkarfeshane hafez jui

ke hajatt be 'elaje galab o ghanad mabad
