Ghazal 105

صوفی ار باده به اندازه خورَد نوشش باد

ور نه اندیشهٔ این کار فراموشش باد

آن که یک جرعه مِی از دست توانَد دادن

دست با شاهدِ مقصود در آغوشش باد

پیرِ ما گفت خطا بر قلم صُنع نرفت

آفرین بر نظرِ پاکِ خطاپوشَش باد

شاهِ تُرکان، سخنِ مدعیان می‌شِنَوَد

شرمی از مَظلَمِهٔ خونِ سیاوشش باد

گر چه از کِبر، سخن با منِ درویش نگفت

جان فدایِ شِکَرین‌پستهٔ خاموشش باد

چشمم از آینه‌دارانِ خط و خالش گشت

لبم از بوسه‌رُبایانِ بَر و دوشش باد

نرگسِ مست نوازش‌کُنِ مردم‌دارَش

خونِ عاشق به قدح گر بِخورد نوشش باد

به غلامیِ تو مشهورِ جهان شد حافظ

حلقهٔ بندگیِ زلفِ تو در گوشش باد

Last night from the corner of the wine-house, an invisible messenger Spake:— " Sin, they pardon:

wine, drink!" Its own work, doeth divine pardon: The glad tidings of mercy, Surush causeth to arrive.

Greater than our sin, is God's grace: ('Tis) a subtlety head closed. What sayest thou ? Silence!

To the wine-house, take this crude wisdom: So that to tumult, the ruby wine its blood may bring. 5.

Although, not by effort union with Him, they give, O heart! that much that thou canst, strive. (Together are) — my ear and the curl of the true Beloved's tress

(Together are) — my face, and the dust of the door of the wine-seller.

The Ruler of faith, Shah Shuja', He who, slave to his order, made the

holy spirit (Jibra.il). His desire, give, O angel of the ninth heaven (God's throne)!

Him, from the evil eye, keep. The profligacy of Hafiz is not a

hard perverse sin In the estimation of mercy of the King, defect-concealing (God).

shah torkan, sokhan mad'ian mi-shenavad

sharmi az mazlame-ye khun siaushsh bad

gar che az kebr, sokhan ba man daruish nagafat

jan fadaye shekarin-pasat-ye khamushsh bad

cheshmam az ayene-darane khat o khalsh gasht

labam az buse-robaiane bar o dushsh bad

narges mast nuazsh-kon mardom-darash

khun 'ashegh be ghadah gar bekhurd nushsh bad

be ghalamye to mashhure jahan shod hafez

halghe bandegi zolf to dar gushsh bad
